Haven’t you held it all in long enough?

At Therapy Garden Counseling, I provide a safe, compassionate space to explore what’s weighing you down and rediscover your strength. Specializing in anxiety, relationships, and trauma, I’m here to help you grow at your own pace. Together, we’ll nurture self-compassion, calm, and lasting joy.

Specialties

Women’s Issues/Feminist Approach

The truth is, as women we are living in a different world. I draw from a feminist approach and try to understand the full context because our upbringing and socialization determines so much of our adult life. I use inner child work, ACT, and narrative therapy to unpack identity, socialization, and help women get in touch with their strength.

Relationships

So much of our wellbeing is made up of our relationships with others. Various struggles can leave us showing up in a way we don’t like in our relationships. We may also find ourselves lost in our dating patterns and unable to heal that pesky attachment style. I love helping folks sift through these patterns and learn more about themselves.

Trauma

Most individuals will experience a traumatic event. Being able to tell your story is an important part of healing. An understanding and sensitivity to trauma is at the center of my work. We cannot know how to move forward until we understand where we truly are and how we got there. It may be hard to go into, but I will do my best to make it easier to talk about and lighter to carry.

My Approach

Like everything else in nature, growing takes time and nurturing. I'm committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all of my clients to explore their feelings and experiences without feeling judged or shamed.

Let me help you untangle what’s going on for you and figure out the next steps. I can help you learn to stand up to the outside pressures and assert yourself. You deserve to feel proud of yourself and secure in who you are. Together we can work on self-esteem, self-discovery, and processing painful memories to help build you back up and carve out some room for joy.

The Office Space

My office is conveniently located in NW Gainesville in a suite called ‘Counseling Associates’ that I share with 4 other local mental health professionals.

We are nearby Fresh Market, Yoga Pod NW, The Flying Biscuit Cafe, and Thornebrook Plaza. The office is a ~10 minute drive from The Reitz Union and accessible via RTS bus.

We have plenty of open parking directly outside and are wheelchair accessible.
