Trauma-Informed Therapy for Sensitive Souls
Welcome to Therapy Garden!
Daniela Childers, M.Ed., Ed.S.
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Hi, I’m Daniela!
I’m the owner of Therapy Garden Counseling.
I’m a biracial latina with a white papi. My mom is from Venezuela and I graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a degree in Anthropology and a Minor in Music on a full ride scholarship.
I am a former gifted kid—> late life ADHD diagnosis, 90’s baby, grandmillenial, and a highly sensitive person (HSP). I have been in solo practice for almost 4 years.
As a sensitive introvert and survivor, I can relate to the pain and time it takes to heal and reconnect to yourself when you’ve experienced dehumanization.
I know that despite what it seems sometimes: there is still time to learn, time to do what you hope to do, time to grow, and time to feel better after bad things happen.
You are not alone and your experience is worth talking about! Together we can grow new ideas, new meaning, and new purpose.
I love working with clients on the bigger picture and diving into all the layers of the story. The environment we live in and the relationships we have shape our lives, so it’s important to learn about the full picture in order to get to the root of the issue. I am a proud feminist and believe anyone can benefit from a feminist approach to therapy. I hope for my clients to feel empowered and free to live up to their full potential.
I can gently guide you through the confusion, help you get unstuck, and step into your power. There is no better time than the present to reclaim your voice.
I strive to be an inclusive space for everyone and every experience. My approach to therapy is secular, queer-affirming, and neurodivergent friendly. I was raised Catholic and believe in God. I enjoy talking with clients of any faith (or non-faith) and take a unitarian approach believing all experiences of spirituality are valid.
I am not a therapist that is going to “fix you” or “change you.”
I will be a kind and present witness to your story. I will help you notice themes and patterns as well and shed light with you on the path forward.
The real work is a team effort.
If you’re ready to begin, please text, email, or submit a contact form
I offer in-person and virtual sessions for clients throughout Florida.

Specialties
Women’s Issues/Feminist Approach
As women, we live in a world that demands so much of us. We may have been raised to question how we look, think, talk, and what we do. There is a lot of pressure to fit in and be "good enough." I take a feminist approach and use different therapy methods, like inner child work, ACT, and narrative therapy, to help you understand yourself better.
I can help you work towards becoming the woman you hope to be. I will never shame you for being messy, a train wreck, or not having it together. This is a space you can show up as you are!
Perfectionism and Burnout
Perfectionism and burnout can feel like too much to handle—especially if you’ve spent years pretending you’re ok, trying too hard, and pushing way past your limits. This is a safe space for recovering people pleasers and overachievers.
I can help you let go of harsh self-judgment, manage big feelings and stress, and learn to rest without feeling guilty. There will come a day when you feel less guilty for simply being. Together, we’ll work on trusting yourself, creating routines that actually work for you, and helping your body and mind feel more balanced.
Identity, Gender, and Sexuality
Exploring who you are—your identity, gender, and sexuality—can feel very personal. It can be even harder if you’ve been hurt, judged, or made to feel like you don’t belong. I offer a safe and supportive space to help you heal and understand yourself.
I can help you work through feelings of shame, family struggles, and past hurt in relationships. Whether you’re figuring things out, making changes, or becoming more confident in who you are, I’m here to support you. You deserve to feel safe, accepted, and true to yourself.
My Approach
Like everything else in nature, growing takes time and nurturing. I'm committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all of my clients to explore their feelings and experiences without feeling judged or shamed.
Let me help you untangle what’s going on for you and figure out the next steps. Together we can work on self-esteem, self-discovery, and processing painful memories to help build you back up and carve out some room for joy.
The Office Space
My office is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown West Palm Beach in the historic Harvey building. I share the space with other mental health practitioners at West Palm Beach Counseling.
Parking is available in any of the nearby downtown garages. There is a lot directly across from the building as well as several city lots nearby.
You don’t have to feel like you’re living the same week over and over again.
You deserve to feel calm and secure.
